Terms of Service — Scramble Captain

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Scramble Captain ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Scramble Captain is a golf scramble tournament management platform that helps organizers manage player registration, team assignments, scoring, and payment collection.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Upload malicious code or content
Impersonate another person or entity
Use the Service to collect personal data without proper consent
Abuse rate limits or attempt to overload the Service

5. Pricing & Payments

Scramble Captain offers free and paid tiers. Prices are listed on our website and may change with notice. Payment processing is handled by Stripe.

Tournament entry fees collected through the platform are transferred directly to the tournament organizer via Stripe. Scramble Captain does not take a cut of entry fees.

Organizers are responsible for managing refunds to players for tournament entry fees. Platform subscription fees (Event Pass, Season Pass) are non-refundable except as required by law.

6. Tournament Organizer Responsibilities

As a tournament organizer, you are responsible for:

Providing accurate tournament information
Complying with applicable laws regarding event organization
Managing communication with your players
Handling disputes between players
Ensuring collected funds are distributed appropriately

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-generated content) are the property of Scramble Captain. You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

Scramble Captain is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scramble Captain shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data.

Scramble Captain is not responsible for the outcome of any tournament, the accuracy of scores entered by users, or disputes between organizers and players.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
